Fitting software

Post by Harald »

http://www.unitron.com/professionals/fi ... nloads.htm

Hi. I am from Greece. The links for the Siemens Connexx and/or Sifit downloads do not work. Do you have any other links for me to try? I have Connexx 6.2 (basic version - no database). All I need is the latest version (if possible) of SIFIT so that I can program my Siemens CENTRA and ARTIS2 models.

Unfortunately, Siemens is deactivating any working link they can find.
Maybe  there are still some working links, but I won't make them public, since Siemens will deactivate them right away.

Anyway, you don't need the latest SIFIT version for Centra and Artis 2. I cannot tell for sure, but in my opinion, Connexx 5.4 will do. And, at least, I won't feel sorry if Siemens will deactivate the link :P

This is very interesting. Siemens should not be doing this as there are so many self-programmers out there. Other companies are not that strict.

I double checked, you are right, 5.4 version is the minimum for those models.

Are you able to PM me any working links? I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

Phonak iPFG 2.5

Post by Harald »

Se pare că Phonak şi-a redesenat site-ul, iar iPFG 2.5 e deja în block start-uri:

"Due to technical reasons the download of iPFG 2.5 will be available at Monday November 16th."

Re: Siemens Product Data?

Post by Jcpstrat »

Harold ... I'm loacated in US and searching for the Siemens SiFit data that would cover the Motion 700s product. I've got the CONNEXX software and would still need the Hi Pro box and cables but don't want to invest in them until have have the hearing aid data I need. I got these HA's in early October and wore them for a month. With the self-learning feature they were almost perfect. After 5 trips to the audiologist ... they're getting worse with every adjustment. I'm an engineer and part time musician so I think I can do the adjustments myself if I just have all the equipment. Can you help with the SiFit data, something that is comparable or any other suggestions.

Is there any chance that by reading the data out of HA's that CONNEXX software would get the info. out of that data to then be able to reprogram them?

First of all, Connexx needs the SiFit database to recognize the hearing aid, before being able to read anything out.
Next: reading out the actual data from the hearing aid will help you to restore the existing programming, if you want to. But to reprogram the instrument, you don't need the existing data. You need a recent audiogram, as a starting point, then you will make fine adjustments, as many as needed, until you decide you are happy with the way it sounds.

Thanks Harald for your response … I was afraid that CONNEXX needed the SiFit DB. I do have my recent audiogram but what I really need is the SiFit data for these HA’s. A HI-PRO box and the right cables to attach to HA’s would be my next step but I don’t want to invest in the Hi-PRO box and cables until I’m sure I can get the SiFit data which is looking doubtful.

I really don’t understand it. There are so few people who would undertake doing it themselves and only do it so they can get the adjustments they need. It would free up the audiologists to be more efficient at taking care of all the others that either don’t want to or can’t do it themselves. I really like these Motion 700’s but I’ll never recommend that anyone buy from Siemens unless they change their policy.

As far as I know, you will need SiFit 6.0 or higher for Motion 700.
I think I could provide you with a working link for SiFit 6.1, but since you don't have the Hi-Pro and cables, you could use the SiFit just to play with.
Let's talk about this after you'll get a Hi-Pro or a Noahlink.

Thanks Harald ... I'll get back with you after I get the rest of setup. BTW I've got CONNEXX V6.2 with my Audiogram data loaded.
